Ramesh Pisharody
Ramesh Pisharody is a well known Film actor and
TV Anchor and is also a known stage performer as a mimicry
artiste.
Born in 1983,
He had his primary education from Kendriya
Vidyalaya Newsprint Nagar, Karikkode Govt High School and pre
degree from Devaswom Board College, Thalayolaparambu. Later he
joined Salim Kumar's mimicry troupe Cochin Stallions before
entering movies. He started his film debut through film
"Positive" in 2008 and has done more than a dozen movies till
date.

Pisharody(Dakshinamoorthi Pisharam, Kuthannoor) at Newsprint
Nagar, he has married to Soumya and has a daughter named
Pournami.
Babu Narayanan
Babu Naryanan, alias Babu Pisharody is a famous
Malayalm film director. He has directed more than 25 Malayalam
movies. He started his directorial venture with movie "Anagha"
in 1989. He together with Anil Kumar directed popular
movies like Maanthrikacheppu, Sthreedhanam, Kudumba Vishesham,
Aramanaveedum Anjoorekkarum, Kaliyoonjal and Pattabhishekam.
Last movie they done together was Parayam in 2004. Later he took
a break from movies. He made a comeback in 2013 with the
Malayalam movie To Noora with Love.
Born to Thalakkulathur Pisharath Narayana Pisharody and
Pathappiriyath Pisharath Devaki Pisharasiar at Calicut.
He is married to Jyothi. The couple has two children, Darssan
and Sravana.
Madhav Ramdasan
Well known Malayalam film director who got
Gollapudi Srinivas National award for the ‘Best Debut Director
2011' for directorial debut film "Melvilasam", which also won P.
Bhaskaran award for the Best Feature film of 2011 and 16th
Busan’s International Film Festival Award in South Korea. He has
directed his second film Apothecary which
portrays the other side of Medical ethics also got wide range
acclaim.
Born in 1975 he started his career with Ad films

Well known new generation Malayalam Poet of
the Post Modern era. Also famous as Blogger, Web Magazine editor
of "Harithakam" and is also active in amature drama field.
Born in 1962 at Vattamkulam in Malappuram
District, he started his career as a Primary teacher and has
retired recently as a High School Teacher from AVM High School Ponnani.
His famous works are "Kanekkane", "Randay
Murichathu" , "Katte Kadale", "Kalamkaari" & "Pathalam".
Recipient of Kerala Sahithya Academy Award in
2002 for his Poem collection "Kanekkane", is also recipient of
various Memorial awards for Poem constituted in memory of
Late V T Kumaran, Cherukadu, Kunchupilla, Changampuzha & V K
Unnikrishnan. His is the recipient of P Kunjiraman Nair Award
for 2013 for his work "Katte Kadale" and Cherusseri
Award in 2014 for his contributions to Malayalam Poetry and
Language.

Kalamandalam Vasu Pisharody
A well known Kathakali artist, expertise is in the characters like Nalan
('Pacha') and Bahukan ('Pacha') in 'Nalacharitham', Ravanan ('Kathi') in 'Udbhavam'
and 'Bali Vijayam', Keechakan ('Kathi') in 'Keechaka Vadham', Narakasuran
('Kathi') in 'Narakasura Vadham', Brahmanan ('Minukku') in 'Santhanagopalam',
and Prasuraman ('Minukku') etc.
Kalamandalam Vasu Pisharody was born on Aug 15, 1943 in
Palakkad District. His father was T.P.Rakhava Pisharody and mother was
M.P.Lakshmikutti Pisharasyar. His primary education is upto 7th.
He learned Kathakali
after his 7th in Kerala Kalalayam, Ottapalam under Kalamandalam
Balakrishnan Nair for 1 year. Later he joined P.S.V. Natyasangham for 3
years and in Kerala Kalamandalam for 6 years under Padmasree Vazhenkada
Kunchu Nair. Has practised also under Ramankutty Nair and Padmanabhan Nair
from Kerala Kalamandalam. He continued his education for 2 years there
with the Scholarship of Central Govt. He finished his studies in 1969 and
worked there as teacher in temporary post till 1979. During that time he
worked also in the 'Kalaries' managed by Guruvayoor Kathakali Club as
teacher. From 1979 to 1999 he worked as teacher and Head of the Department
of Kathakali Vesham, in Kerala Kalamandalam and retired on 1999 March.

Pisharody is a winner of the prestigious Central Sangeet
Natak Akademi award.
He has also received
Veerashrinkhala from Kongad and Awards from several Kathakali
clubs. Kerala Kalamandalam Award in 1998. Fellowship from

Gopala Pisharody, son
of Mannarkad Govindapurathu Bharatha Pisharody and Kizhakke pisharath
Madhavikutty Pisharassiar was born on 20-8-1938 at Chunangat, Ottappalam.
After completing SSC he joined Kottakkal PSV Nattyasangham to learn
Kathakali sangeetham.After completion of training for 8 years under
Gurus Vasu Nedungadi and Gopala kurup, he joined PSV Nattyasangham as
teacher and served the sangham for about 29 years. Along with
Nattyasangham troup he had teavelled all over India and also many
foreign countries viz Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, China and North
Korea. He has sung in the company of renowned Kathakali singers like
Kalamandalam Nambishan, Vasu Nedungadi, Unnikrishna kurup, Gangadharan
etc. Narayanan, Peadeep and Madhu of Nattyasangham as well as
P.D.Namboidiri, Manoj , Krishna kumar Raja etc are some of his
distinguished desciples. He is residing in his house "Ragasoudham" along
with his wife, Kongad Kavil Pisharath Shobhana Pisharassiar.
RLV Damodara Pisharody
R.L.V. Damodara Pisharody of
Thrippunithura is the favourite desciple of the great Kalamandalam
Krishnan Nair - the doyen who was instrumental in popularising cultural
Kerala's pride art form "KATHAKALI". Damodara Pisharody was born in 1939
to Attingal Manikantthapurathu pisharath Shivarama Pisharody and
Puthrikkovil pisharath Lakshmikutty Pisharassiar. He completed his
education and training in Kathakali from R.L.V. College of Music and
Fine Arts, Thrippunithura. He has married Mahadevamangalathu Pisharath
Sharada Pisharassiar. Damodara Pisharody has trained more than hundred
disciples in Kathakali.
Pallavur Raghava Pisharody
Pallavur Raghava Pisharody is a famous Rhythm Artiste in Ilathalam.
Born on 15th November 1948 to Manjaloor Pisharath Narayana Pisharody and
Kodumudi Cherat Pisharath Sridevi Pisharasiar, he learnt Ilathalam from
his father. He started learning Chenda from Pallavur Kunjukutta Marar at
the age of 19 and did his Arangettam in 1969 at Sri Thrippallavur Temple
and thereafter worked with the famous Pallavur trios.
He is a doyen on Ilathalam at various
Poorams in Kerala, especially Thrissur Pooram for many years. He has
been awarded Pulappatta Rama Marar award, Kongad Sargam Sangeetha Award, Dubai
Melam Award, Kalamandalam Krishnankutti Poduval "Kalasagar" Award,
Njhangattiri Devaswom Award, Thiranottam Award, Purathu Veettil Nanu
Marar Gurusmruthi Award, Kuzhoor Narayana Marar Foundation Award,
Gurupooja Award by Kerala Sangeetha Natak Academy and many more.
Thippallur Pisharath Leela Pisharasiar is his wife
and he has three children, Ramesh, Rajesh and Radhika.
K.P.Balakrishnan, IFS (Retd)
K.P.Balakrishnan was born in 1940 to Aattor Nedumbrakkal Pisharath
Madhavi pisharassiar and Aryavaidyan N.P.Krishna Pisharody. After
completing MSc from Ernakulam Maharajas College he served as a Professor
in colleges in Kerala. After getting selected in IFS in 1963 he worked
in various consulates in various countries. Government appointed him as
Ambassador of Yemen for the period 1986-89. Subsequently he was also
appointed as Ambassadors in Ethiopia, Djibooty and Vatican. He retired
in 2000 from Foreign service but continued as Commonwealth Advisor in
2001-02 in Guyana's foreign office. Since 2002 he has settled down in
Thrissur. Padinjare Thonnangamath pisharath Sati is his wife.
T.Balaraman, IAS (Retd)
Shri. T.Balaraman , the first person to get selected to IAS from our
Community was the son of former Thrissur Municipal Commssioner Kattoor
Rama Pisharody and Padinjare Thonnangamathu Ammini Pisharassiar. After
completing B.Sc with physics, he got selected to IAS cadre in 1963. He
has served in various high posts in several states including Maharashtra
and Central secretariates. He has obtained training in Public
Administration from U.K. He was also Managing Director of National seed
corporation, Delhi. At the end of his career, he retired as Principal
Secretary to Maharashtra Government.

Col. Dr. V P Gopinathan is a famous Chest
specialist. He is the elder son of Late Sukapurath Karunakara
Pisharody and Late Vattenat Pisharath Narayani Pisharasiar.

K P Achutha Pisharody
Younger brother of K P Narayana Pisharody, who is
105 years old, is a Sanskrit scholar who has dedicated his life
to the teaching of Sanskrit Language. Born to Kodikkunnath Thrikkovil
Pisharath Narayanikkutti Pisharasiar and Pudusseri Manackal Pasupathi
Namboothiri, he is a disciple of Punnasseri Nambi Neelakanda Sarma.
He started his teaching career in
1939 as a Sanskrit Teacher in Peringottukara School, Thriprayar
and after working in half a dozen institutions he retired in
1970 and still continuing to teach Sanskrit. He is the recipient
of Devipuraskaram from Samoothiri Raja in 2011 and Vishwa
Sankrit Prathishtan has conferred Panditharatnam title on him in
2012. He has also received Deviprasadam Award from OMC
Trust(Olappamanna). He is the present Kulapathi of Pisharody Samajam.

Ravi Pisharody is a well known
corporate personality having varied global expertise in
Strategic and Marketing management. He has excelled in his
managerial roles with large corporates viz. Philips India,
Castrol India and BP Singapore; and Tata Motors. After
retirement, he is now involved in various roles of Independent
Director on company Boards, as a Visiting Faculty in management
institutes, and in the mentoring middle & senior managers in the
corporate sector to prepare them for taking larger
responsibilities. He is an Engineering Graduate in Electronics
& Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and done post graduation in
Management from IIM Kolkatta.
