Pallavur Raghava Pisharody is a famous Rhythm Artiste in Ilathalam. Born on 15th November 1948 to Manjaloor Pisharath Narayana Pisharody and Kodumudi Cherat Pisharath Sridevi Pisharasiar, he learnt Ilathalam from his father. He started learning Chenda from Pallavur Kunjukutta Marar at the age of 19 and did his Arangettam in 1969 at Sri Thrippallavur Temple and thereafter worked with the famous Pallavur trios.
He is a doyen on Ilathalam at various Poorams in Kerala, especially Thrissur Pooram for many years. He has been awarded Pulappatta Rama Marar award, Kongad Sargam Sangeetha Award, Dubai Melam Award, Kalamandalam Krishnankutti Poduval “Kalasagar” Award, Njhangattiri Devaswom Award, Thiranottam Award, Purathu Veettil Nanu Marar Gurusmruthi Award, Kuzhoor Narayana Marar Foundation Award, Gurupooja Award by Kerala Sangeetha Natak Academy and many more.
Thippallur Pisharath Leela Pisharasiar is his wife and he has three children, Ramesh, Rajesh and Radhika.
