Prof. Dr Anayath Rajendrakumar, proud to be a teacher, is an Indian researcher, educationist and consultant with more than twenty five years of experience in result-oriented research, consulting and training in the global graphic arts industry and is the Vice Chancellor at D.C.R.U.S.T(Deenbandhu Chhoturam University of Science and Technology-A Haryana State Government Science & Technology University) at Murthal, Haryana. He is the first Asian who conquered the “Exellence in Print” award – the Oscar in Printing- from America.
Prior to this assignment, he was Director of the Technological Institute of Textiles and Sciences (TIT&S), Bhiwani, Haryana.
He is a proponent of “New industrial Convergence Theory”. Widely travelled around the globe for education, research, seminars, conferences and tie-ups, he has visited many top Universities and research centres. He is a highly reputed academician in the field of Print and Media Technology. Based on the contributions to the global graphic arts industry ‘Printing Industries of America’ conferred its coveted ‘Global Academic Excellence Award’ in Chicago in the year 2011. First non American who won this prestigious award, popularly known as ‘Oscar in Printing’. In the year 2013, the apex body of Indian printers AIFMP (All India Federation of Master Printers) conferred “Samman Award” during the 60th year diamond jubilee celebrations by His Excellency Dr K Rosaiah, the Governor of Tamilnadu state. Visiting Scholar/Visiting Professor to Technic University, Chemnitz and Zagreb University, Zagreb. Croatian Academy of Engineering conferred its prestigious International Membership. SDC (Society of Dyers & Colourists-UK) conferred “Silver Medal” for the outstanding contribution to the global graphic arts industry and education on April 17th,2015. Visiting professor to many Indian universities and also an approved PhD guide. Associated with BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) in TC 130 to develop standards for Indian print industry. A part and parcel of Indian print industry and dedicated whole life for Academics,Education and Research.
Born in a middle class Pisharody family “Anayath Pisharam” in Thiruvegappura, a small village on the bank of river Thutha, the same Pisharam where the Guru of Manavedan Raja(The then Zamorin Raja of Kozhikode who conceived the classical dance drama “Krishnanaattam” based on his sanskrit text “Krishnageethi”) Anayath Krishna Pisharody.
